About
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I’m a 3x digital agency founder, a global marketing executive, and an award-winning filmmaker.

This is my story

1. At 25, I moved to NYC and made my first feature film
I majored in Film at University with one life goal and one life goal only, the be a feature film director

2. But even though we got a 7.8/10 on IMDB, it didn't make any money
They taught me everything in film school, except for how the business of filmmaking worked, bummer.
3. And so I vowed to master the art of audience attraction
Seeing the theater half empty made me realize I needed to do some studying.

4. Creating one of the first social networks for non-profits
I got so into social media that I created my own social media platform in 2006.

5. Which led to a job as VP of Digital at Ogilvy,
one of the largest agencies in the world
The social media platform didn't make me a billionaire, but it did make me a leader in social media marketing and that put me on a new path
6. In 2012, a friend and I started our own digital agency
We created an agency that focused on helping brands launch new product lines into market.

8. I became a go-to resource for all things social media marketing
As a result, I started getting asked to go onto television to explain the mechanics behind social media.

7. We crushed it.
We got featured in Entrepreneur Magazine and Adweek for our successful digital approach.

9. So I started a new social media agency
This lead to me creating another agency specializing in social media content creation

10. And grew it into a global company
We grew our teams, offices, and offerings which lead to us having work in New York City, Los Angeles, and even Tokyo, Japan.
11. While in Tokyo, I built a
popular community for marketers
I created one of the largest marketing communities in Japan so people could learn more while networking.

12. Then Nielsen recruited me to lead Marketing Effectiveness
At Nielsen, I lead marketing effectiveness and multi-touch attribution across Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong.
13. For the next 5 years, I worked and taught marketing in Tokyo
I became a leading go-to figure for driving digital transformation within Japan.

14. Then I became the Chief Digital Officer of a Japanese company
In Japan, only 1 in every 75 C-suite executives are a foreigner, I was one of them.

15. And together we built several brands and started a dynamic direct to consumer digital agency
Because Asia was closed during the pandemic, we created a DTC agency to help international brands transition to digital while finding new ways to scale globally.
16. In 2022, I got married and moved back to the states
True story, I married my bank teller. You'll have to wait for the Hallmark movie to hear the whole story

17. Started advocating for pay for performance advertising
We moved back to the states and guess what- even with all my experience, even I could get a job
18. And began writing again
This helped give me and my clients insights into what to do, why we should do it, and then how to build a plan to do it.

19. I completed my first book
Across the world I've been working for the last 5 years helping brands enter local and international markets to go DTC through.

15. And today, my wife and I are living and working in Seattle, Washington
I started JAM! about 4 years ago and have about 2,000+ members who join my international bootcamps and online courses every year.
